Welcome to Ridgelea

A hidden Central Austin enclave.

Ridgelea is one of Central Austin's smallest and most tucked-away neighborhoods—a quiet residential pocket near Shoal Creek that many Austinites pass without realizing is there.

Mature trees and peaceful streets frame an eclectic collection of older homes, renovated properties and newer construction. Because the neighborhood encompasses relatively few streets, it has an intimate quality quite different from many of its larger Central Austin neighbors.

Ridgelea borders The Grove at Shoal Creek, placing trails, playgrounds, shops, restaurants and a pond just steps from the neighborhood. A pedestrian bridge also connects Ridgelea to Rosedale, providing easy access to the Shoal Creek Trail and the parks, dining and other amenities of Rosedale.

Shoal Creek provides nearby access to trails and green space, while Ramsey Park, Jefferson Square and the restaurants and shops of Bryker Woods, Rosedale and the 35th Street corridor are just minutes away.

Ridgelea is generally served by Bryker Woods Elementary, O. Henry Middle School and Austin High School.

With convenient access to MoPac, Downtown, The University of Texas and the medical district, Ridgelea offers a rare combination: an unusually quiet residential setting right in the middle of Central Austin.
